Easygo Japan eSIM Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") set out the conditions for use of the eSIM sales service ("Service") provided by Easygo Japan, Inc. ("Company") on this website. All users ("Users") of this Service agree to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

Article 1 – Scope of Application

These Terms apply to all aspects of the relationship between Users and the Company regarding use of the Service.

In addition to these Terms, the Company may establish separate rules and policies ("Individual Provisions") for the Service. Regardless of their name, Individual Provisions form part of these Terms.

Where these Terms conflict with Individual Provisions, Individual Provisions take precedence unless otherwise specified.

Article 2 – Registration and Contract Formation

To use the Service, Users must agree to these Terms and complete the purchase process as defined by the Company.

The eSIM sales contract is formed when the User completes the purchase process and receives an order confirmation email or notification from the Company.

Article 3 – Fees and Payment

Users shall pay the fees displayed on the website using the payment method specified by the Company (e.g., credit card).

Any payment processing fees are generally the responsibility of the User.

Article 4 – Delivery of Products

Products sold through this Service are digital data (eSIM profiles and QR codes). After the contract is formed, delivery is made by sending the data to the User's registered email address or by displaying it in the User's account page.

The Company accepts no responsibility if a product cannot be delivered due to an error in the User's email address.

Article 5 – Returns, Cancellations, and Special Refund Guarantee

Due to the digital nature of the products, cancellations, returns, and full refunds are not accepted after purchase as a general rule.

Notwithstanding the above, if a User is completely unable to use the Service at their travel destination, 50% of the purchase price will be refunded.

To qualify for this refund guarantee, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • The User must promptly contact Company customer support upon discovering that the service is unavailable, and receive troubleshooting assistance.
  • The User must follow Company support instructions and still be unable to use the service.
  • The User must submit a refund request via the Company's designated form or email within the applicable period after the service period ends.

If the User's smartphone is eSIM-incompatible or SIM-locked and therefore unable to use the Service, 50% of the purchase price will still be refunded under this Article.

Article 6 – Prohibited Activities

Users must not engage in any of the following activities when using the Service:

  • Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
  • Acts related to criminal activity
  • Acts that infringe on intellectual property rights (copyright, trademarks, etc.) contained in the Service
  • Acts that damage or interfere with servers or networks of the Company, other Users, or third parties
  • Commercial use of information obtained through the Service (resale, redistribution, etc.)
  • Unauthorized access or attempts thereof
  • Any other acts deemed inappropriate by the Company

Article 7 – Suspension of Service

The Company may suspend or interrupt all or part of the Service without prior notice to Users if any of the following occur:

  • Maintenance or updates to computer systems related to the Service
  • Force majeure events (earthquake, lightning, fire, power outage, natural disaster) making the Service difficult to provide
  • Communication unavailability due to local carrier issues
  • Any other situation where the Company judges the Service to be difficult to provide

Article 8 – Disclaimer

The Company makes no express or implied warranties that the Service is free from defects (including issues related to safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, effectiveness, fitness for a particular purpose, security, bugs, errors, or rights infringement).

Except in cases of the Company's intentional misconduct or gross negligence, the Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from use of the Service.

The Company's liability for issues arising from the User's device (eSIM incompatibility, SIM lock, etc.) or configuration errors does not extend beyond the Special Refund Guarantee set out in Article 5.

Article 9 – Changes to Terms

The Company may change these Terms at any time without prior notice to Users when deemed necessary.

Revised Terms take effect from the time they are posted on this website.

Article 10 – Personal Information

Personal information obtained through use of the Service will be handled appropriately in accordance with the Company's Privacy Policy.

Article 11 – Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.

Any disputes arising in connection with this Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court (or summary court) having jurisdiction over the Company's principal place of business.
